She'd never tried goat cheese, but she'd read it was better, so she gave it a try. I asked her one question: Do you taste the creamy flavor, or is the goat standing right next to you?

It was the goat. Not because of how the cheese tasted, but because her mind already knew what she was going to taste.

We all do this. Something happens, and within seconds our mind sticks a story on it. We taste the story, not what's really there. This journal is for the moment you notice the story. For catching the expectation before it decides the taste, asking yourself what you assumed, and finding out what's really there.

On the back, one question to return to every morning: Am I tasting what's really here, or what I expected to taste?

A deep brown hardcover writing journal with a fine gold frame and the title in gold italic.
